OK, this movie is STRANGE ! This movie is AWESOME ! Give up on trying to figure out what this movie means. You will go mad if you try and understand this movie, it is not for that crowd, just enjoy the dark and creepy entertainment. The movie is about our hero who is quite the oddball who is attracted to a lovely lady, beds her and has a mutant baby that is the grossest thing ever.

The movie is a nightmarish, surreal trip thru the psyche of filmmaker David Lynch. A must see movie that you will enjoy watching over and over as you start to figure out that the movie cannot be figured out. Mr David Lynch gives no explaination to a movie that is unexplainable. Dark, powerful and truly demented, psycho horror at it’s finest.

In 2004, the film was deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry. Lynch has described his film as a “dream of dark and troubling things.”

The house is the home of a psycho family who enjoys mutilating and murdering people. the mutilation tool of choice, the Chainsaw !!! Yaay ! power tools to the rescue. It’s fun to carve off a huge hunk of screaming human. Feel the flesh give way and the kick of the blade as it meets bone. The crunch and grind as you slice through bone. You can see your victim scream and the blood splatter as it is slung off by the chainsaw blade. You stop, your job is done and you cut off the chainsaw motor and it is quiet, only a faint sound of your victim as they draw their last breath. Now you finish up the job with a meat cleaver. You hear a sound, it is another soon to be victim, walking up to the house and they are looking for the person you just murdered. Your night is going to be busy, better top off the gas in the chainsaw as it looks like it will get run again and again !!!

Suspiria (2-Disc Special Edition)

Suspiria is a Horror roller coaster ride from beginning to end. The tagline for the movie reads “The only thing more horrific than the final twelve minutes are the first ninety-two” The story is simple, an American student arrives in Europe to attend a ballet school. When our lovely student played by Jessica Harper arrives another student is leaving in a mad thunderstorm, being chased by evil. The fleeing student is mudered in the most horrific fashion. The cinematography of this movie is second to none. It turns out that the ballet academy is something dark and sinister. The head of the academy is played by Joan Bennet

Dario Argento show his influences from the masters, Mario Bava, Alfred Hitchcock, Riccardo Freda, Ingmar Bergman, Michelangelo Antonioni, Sergio Leone, and Federico Fellini. Dario cut his teeth in the movie world making “Giallo” or Italian thrillers. Suspiria is Dario’s masterpiece, with colorful and exciting lighting, wonderful acting and music that pounds and drives the movie’s dramatic points higher and higher reaching a cataclysm of horror.

Suspiria is something you want to devote an evening to watching. Order pizza, get out a good bottle of wine and share it with your best movie watching companion. This movie will make her or him want to cuddle, I promise.
